Claire Louise Giblin was born and educated in New York City, where she briefly attended F.I.T. After moving to Pennsylvania, she attended Lebanon Valley College, Franklin & Marshall College and Millersville University. She has exhibited in the US, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain and Turkey.Giblin’s work is in corporate, educational, museum, and private collections. Her paintings have appeared on covers of scholarly publications, and articles. As Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at Phillips Museum of Art at Franklin & Marshall College, she curated over 150 exhibitions, written, designed and produced exhibition catalogs, taught introductory painting and workshops in professional practices, and facilitated a weekly life-drawing studio. She was Co-founder and co-Director of Pfenninger Gallery for Contemporary and Emerging Artists in Lancaster, PA from 2003 to 2009. Giblin received her Certificate in Appraisal Studies at NYU. She is an Accredited Member of Appraisers Association of America, and founder of Atlantic Appraisal Services LLC in Millersville, Pennsylvania, where she lives.
